Learn to Scuba dive in just 5 weeks with friendly and helpful instructors.

The PADI Open Water Diver course, 1 evening a week. This structure is flexable for those working shifts or for other reasons (e.g illness) cannot make a session and other days can occassionally be substituted.

The course is split up into three areas

Academics

Confined Water

Open Water

 

The Academics and Confined Water skills are generally taught at the Brentwood Centre, Essex. This Facility allows the students to progress through their skills week by week in the comfort and security of a swimming pool.

Once the Academic and Confined Water Modules are completed, you are then ready to move on to complete your qualifying dives in open water.

At this point the student diver has the choice to complete his or her dives in the uk or after gaining a referral certificate can go to any PADI dive centre in the world to complete their dives there.

For those that choose to stay in the UK, they will complete 4 dives at Stoney Cove, Leicester over a weekend period. Stoney Cove is a purpose built dive centre making use of a old quarry excellent diving in pleasent, well equipped surroundings.

All equipment for every part of the course is supplied free of charge*.

This does not include exposure suits for Open Water Dives, these are available locally for a small hire fee.

Having completed your course , when are you actually going to go diving ?

Lots os students want to go Diving but either haven't found a dive budddy or do not have the information available to organise a specialised dive trip. So we have organised some just for you !

We have put together a package that will enable you to go diving, regardless of your experience with other divers in the same position. You can complete either your open water and advanced dives or just gain experience and enjoy the underwater paradise

February 28th - Hurghada, Egypt.

This holiday is suitable for all levels of diving and training. You will be based in the Ambassador Hotel, and be making a 6 day shore dive package. The flight, hotel and diving costs just £459.00 , definitely a great bargin.

May 15th - Gozo.

Again, open to all levels and you will be based at Xlendi Bay apartments. The diving is 3 days shore diving ( Mgarr Xlendi, Blue Hole, Azores Window and Inland Sea ) followed by 3 days boat diving ( Lantern Point, Comino Caves, Crocodile Rock and Fungus Rock ). Cost includes flight, transfers, jeep hire and accommodation and is £399.00. Only other extras apart from the food and beer, are ferry crossing £12 and Jeep petrol £5 approx.

June 30th - Southern Red Sea Liveaboard.

This is a week aboard the luxurious Ghazala Voyager. Heading down from Ghalib down to the Sudan border. For experienced divers only, this is a week of superb diving on virgin reefs, seeing big pelagics and no other dive boats ! Once you arrive, there is nothing else to do but dive and eat and relax. All of this is unlimited and included in the price ! Cost is £985.00 to include flight, transfers, full board and unlimited diving. Just take enough to buy a beer !

July 12th - Sea of Cortez.

Visiting world famous`El Bajo` with regular sightings of Hammerhead Sharks and Morays, `Whale Bay` for Whale Sharks, and plenty of other marine life, including Pacific Mantas, sealions etc. This year the trip will be for 10 days, with 7 days diving; although you may use your sightseeing days for more diving if you prefer. Cost to be advised.

August 12th - Scapa Flow, Scotland.

Brave the cooler UK waters for some of the worlds best wreck dives. Flying to Orkney and transfererring by coach to the B & B in Stromnes, you will have 6 days daily boat diving on the `John L` This is a 65 ft steel dive boat, with compressors, nitrox, and aheated drying rooms. You will be diving the wrecks of the German first wold war fleet, scuttled in 1919. Cost is £268 for accommodation and diving. Flight price yet to be advised.
